WW - Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, ref 4657, circa 1950s, bumper automatic, 31mm x 43mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original oversized square 18K yellow gold snap back case with heavy stepped lugs, brown leather strap, original guilloche silvered dial with applied gold indices, 17J cal 477/1, case s#321046, mvt s#494603, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, triple signed. Gross weight of assembled watch without strap 28.4 dwt (44.2 g). A tremendously fine and unusual Vacheron reference in a great large size sure to delight.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork, fine scratches to plates and rotor; excellent dial with even surface spotting; excellent gold stick hands; polished case shows little wear, crisp hallmarks on case side and under the lugs, several light dings on the lugs; crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
